Build your bid. Know what you can hold.
Mark your month, pick what you want to fly, and see every trip in your package against what your number actually held last month. Then the AskPubs Chrome extension puts the bid into PBS for you. Weighing a different base, fleet, or seat is Seniority's job — this one builds the bid you're actually submitting.
Bid Builder is open to every verified pilot. It's in beta: it's new, it changes month to month, and you should check your bid in PBS before the bid closes. It works on a phone, but the trip list and calendar are small — use a computer, and you'll need one for the extension anyway.
Six steps, in the order you'd think about your month.
Mark your month.
Tap the days you need off — can't work, or rather not. Training, vacation and carry-in trips PBS already has you on show as taken.
Pick what you want to fly.
Trip lengths, report and release times, legs a day, cities you never want, no red-eyes. Only trips that match every pick are shown.
See what your number held.
Every matching trip, in the order of seniority it went to last month, with your number drawn through the list — purple and red above you, yellow near you, green to pilots junior to you. Check a trip and it's in your bid.
Tell PBS what to do next.
PBS properties for when the trips you checked don't build you a line — days off, credit, and the rest, with their priorities.
Bid reserve if you want it.
Line only, a line with reserve if PBS can't build one, or reserve first. Your reserve days off, Long or Short Call, work block and waivers.
See every layer, then copy.
Every layer exactly as PBS will get it. Press Copy for PBS — or type it in yourself from the layer list.
Into PBS without retyping it.
Install it once
On Chrome on a computer — not a phone or tablet. The install guide takes about ten minutes, and you do it once.
Preview, then Update
In PBS, open AskPubs import and paste. Preview shows layer by layer what will change. Nothing is written until you press Update, and importing the same bid twice changes nothing.
Undo is always there
Undo last import puts back exactly the bid you had, on the same layers.
What it never touches
Your Standing Bid, carry-in trips, and lines you typed into PBS yourself. It writes your reserve layers as PBS's own reserve bids, and it never writes a line PBS's own screen would refuse, or takes your bid past PBS's 300-line limit.
Nothing leaves your computer
It runs only on the PBS site, sends nothing to AskPubs or anyone else, and keeps only your own bid in Chrome. Details: extension privacy.
Last month's awards, not a guess.
Loaded data first
The current bid package, pairings, and last month's awards for your base, fleet, seat and division. If something isn't loaded yet, it says so instead of pretending.
A colour is a fact, not a forecast
A colour says where that trip went last month against your number. It does not predict what PBS will award you this month, and Bid Builder does not submit anything for you.

The PBS tab in the app is a chat about your own PBS data, with your standing, last award and the market for your seat on cards above it. Ask about days off, commuting, trips, or why you got what you got.
